Our pilot is also taking place in Strijp-S, previously known as ‘the forbidden city’, as the site was only accessible to Phillips employees. Today, the old factories (where CDs were invented) are transformed into cool shops and good food spots as well as luxurious lofts and creative workplaces.
‘We know our citizens are concerned about noise and we want to ensure that sound in the city is not unduly affecting people’s wellbeing. This pilot project was an opportunity for us to understand more about how our citizens felt about the noise and to test whether a noise service could help us manage noise better in future.’
